Locating rings and sprue bushings are always paired. Key compatibility factors:
- Center bore diameter — Must accommodate the sprue bushing shaft (D dimension) with proper fit.
- Mounting type match — Bolt-fixing sprue bushings need bolt-stopper locating rings. Shoulder bushings use standard rings.
- Flange thickness coordination — The locating ring counterbore depth + sprue bushing flange thickness must equal the mold plate pocket depth.
About Locating Rings
Locating rings center the mold on the injection machine's fixed platen, ensuring the machine nozzle aligns precisely with the sprue bushing opening.
