Everything you need to know.
15 answers for global buyers.
From ordering and quality to shipping and after-sales — comprehensive answers for international mold component procurement.
📦 Ordering & Lead Times
What is the typical lead time for new mold components?
Standard in-stock mold components ship within 3 days. Custom high-precision inserts have a standard production cycle of 15 working days. Rush orders and emergency replacements can be arranged with advance scheduling — lead time commitments are specified in writing on every quotation.
Is there a minimum order quantity (MOQ)? How do I request samples?
Standard in-stock components have no MOQ — even single units can be ordered. Custom inserts may have reasonable MOQs depending on machining complexity. Customers can submit sample requests through our website inquiry form. Sample fees and international shipping are negotiated between both parties, and sample costs can be credited against subsequent bulk orders.
Do you support prototyping, first-article samples, and small-batch production?
Yes. We provide full-process sample and flexible order services, including new product prototyping, first-article trial production, and small-batch trial orders. Every shipment includes complete dimensional inspection FAI (First Article Inspection) reports, supporting customer needs for new product development, mold debugging, and production validation.
What file formats do you accept for technical drawings?
We accept STEP, IGS, STP, DXF, PDF, and other standard 2D/3D drawing formats. Upon receiving drawings, we perform tolerance verification and process review in advance, proactively communicating any machining challenges to prevent dimensional deviation in later production.
What are the payment terms and shipping methods?
Default trade terms are FOB from a Chinese port via sea freight, balancing cost efficiency and shipping stability. Rush orders can use air freight or DHL/FedEx/UPS international express. Settlement is primarily in USD, supporting T/T wire transfer and Letter of Credit (L/C). Trade terms and payment milestones can be customized per project contract.
🔬 Quality & Standards
What international mold standards do your components support? What accuracy can you achieve?
Our products are fully compatible with HASCO, DME, and MISUMI — the three major international mold standards — enabling direct integration with your existing mold systems. Custom precision inserts achieve stable machining accuracy of ±0.005mm. Every shipment includes CMM (coordinate measuring machine) and optical imaging dimensional inspection reports, meeting the stringent tolerance requirements of automotive and medical production.
Can steel materials be traced? Do you provide material certificates and compliance documents?
All mold steel and high-speed steel raw materials are sourced from verified mills with full traceability. Each batch includes original mill material certificates and hardness test reports. We can provide RoHS environmental certification, ISO system documentation, and other compliance materials upon request — meeting supply chain audit requirements for European, American, and Southeast Asian enterprises.
What is the warranty policy for your components?
Standard warranty is 12 months, commencing from the date of customer on-site first-article trial production sign-off. If no on-site trial is conducted, warranty begins from the shipment date. During the warranty period, quality issues caused by raw material or machining process defects are repaired or replaced free of charge. Damage from human error, unauthorized modification, abnormal wear, assembly mistakes, or secondary machining is not covered.
Can you customize surface treatments and heat treatment processes?
Yes. We support vacuum hardening, nitriding, hard chrome plating, mirror polishing, and other surface and heat treatment processes. Treatment plans can be customized based on your mold's lifespan, wear resistance, and corrosion protection requirements. Heat treatment inspection reports are provided with every order.
What certifications do you hold?
We hold ISO 9001 quality management, IATF 16949 automotive quality, ISO 13485 medical device, and ISO 14001 environmental management certifications. Products comply with RoHS and REACH environmental standards. SGS verified manufacturing processes.
🚢 Logistics & After-Sales
How do you prevent rust during long-distance ocean shipping? What is the packaging solution?
All export shipments use vacuum anti-rust film + desiccant packets + reinforced corrugated carton packaging as standard. For long-distance ocean freight, we can customize anti-rust oil coating and individual sealed packaging to effectively prevent moisture, rust, and impact damage during transit.
Can you provide full customs clearance documentation? Who bears import duties?
We provide one-stop documentation including commercial invoices, packing lists, CO (Certificate of Origin), FORM A, FORM E, and other origin certificates meeting customs requirements for any country. Under standard FOB terms, destination port import duties and clearance fees are borne by the buyer. Trade terms can be confirmed before order placement.
How do you handle quality issues? Do you offer overseas technical support?
We provide 7×24 bilingual (Chinese & English) remote technical support for online mold assembly guidance, troubleshooting, and fault diagnosis. After investigation confirms manufacturing or material defects, we provide free repair or replacement. For non-quality returns and exchanges, round-trip logistics costs are borne by the buyer.
Which industries do you primarily serve? Can you manufacture precision medical and new energy vehicle components?
We specialize in three key sectors: new energy vehicles, Class II medical devices, and high-end consumer electronics. We can manufacture power battery mold components, automotive precision structural parts, micro medical cores, chip packaging fixtures, and other high-complexity precision inserts — having supported mass production projects for multiple leading domestic and international brands.
Do you maintain stock inventory for standard parts? How quickly can out-of-stock items be replenished?
Ejector pins, sleeves, guide posts, guide bushings, mold springs, and other standard components are kept in substantial stock quantities. Small out-of-stock quantities are replenished within 3 days. Large batch replenishment can be scheduled with concurrent production and synchronized delivery.
