Technical Overview
Straight core pins form cylindrical internal features — round holes, pin gates, and hollow bosses. Their uniform shaft simplifies both mold plate boring and pin replacement during maintenance.
The choice between tip-processed and non-tip variants depends on the required surface quality of the molded feature. Where the hole is purely functional and hidden, a standard no-tip pin is sufficient. For visible or precision features, tip-processed pins deliver a cleaner cavity surface with reduced ejection force.
Gas release variants address a specific engineering problem: in deep or blind cavities, compressed air has no escape path. Without venting, the trapped gas superheats and causes burn marks, short shots, or surface discoloration. Available in Flat-Sided, SVC (Semi-circular Vent Channel), and GVFC (with sintered metal filter) configurations.
Engraved variants eliminate post-mold marking operations by forming date codes, lot numbers, or recycling symbols directly on the molded part during the injection cycle.
