About One Step Ejector Pins

One-step ejector pins have two distinct diameter sections with a single transition. The larger diameter (head) contacts the molded part's ejection surface, while the smaller shaft passes through the mold plate bore. This configuration is essential when the part has a stepped internal feature or when the ejection surface area needs to be larger than the plate bore allows.

Concentricity requirement: Head and shaft centerlines must be concentric within TIR 0.01mm. Off-center steps cause uneven loading, accelerated bore wear, and potential galling.
