Standard rectangular ejector blades are available in cross-sections from 1.2×0.6mm up to 16×8mm (width × thickness). The catalog covers 40+ standard combinations following a width:thickness ratio of approximately 2:1. The most commonly ordered sizes for injection mold rib ejection are 2×1mm, 3×1.5mm, 4×2mm, 6×3mm, and 8×4mm. Metric and inch standards are both supported — metric sizes follow JIS B 4031, while inch sizes follow DIN 1530. Custom cross-sections outside the standard range are available as special orders with 7–10 day lead time.

The maximum recommended width-to-thickness aspect ratio is 4:1 (e.g., 8mm wide × 2mm thick). Beyond this ratio, the blade becomes susceptible to lateral buckling under ejection force, especially for lengths above 100mm. For high-aspect-ratio blades (3:1 to 4:1), MISUMI recommends: (1) limiting the unsupported blade length to L/T ≤ 30 (length divided by thickness), (2) using H13 nitrided material for superior toughness, and (3) adding a guide bushing at the plate exit. The most robust ratio for general use is 2:1, which provides the best balance of ejection coverage and structural rigidity.

Metric sizes follow the standard progression: 1.2, 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12, 16mm width. Imperial sizes follow: 3/64", 1/16", 5/64", 3/32", 1/8", 5/32", 3/16", 1/4", 5/16", 3/8", 1/2" width. All sizes are available in M2 steel (SKH51) and H13 nitrided (SKD61). Mixing metric blades with imperial bore plates (or vice versa) is not recommended due to clearance tolerance mismatch.
