Cross-Section and Material Selection
Match the blade cross-section to your rib geometry, then select the material grade for your resin:
| Property | M2 / SKH51 | H13 Nitrided / SKD61 |
|---|---|---|
| Core Hardness | HRC 60–62 | HRC 48–52 (HV 900+ surface) |
| Lateral Rigidity | ★★★★ | ★★★★★ (superior toughness) |
| Wear Resistance | ★★★★★ | ★★★★ (nitrided surface) |
| Max Aspect Ratio | 3:1 recommended | 4:1 possible (better toughness) |
| Best For | Standard ribs, ABS/PC/PP | Glass-filled resins, deep ribs |
| Cost | $ | $ |
Cross-section sizing rule: Blade width = rib width − 0.2mm (for clearance). Blade thickness ≥ rib width ÷ 4 (to prevent buckling). Maximum unsupported length: L/T ≤ 30.

About
Standard ejector blades without tip processing are the base product for all blade ejection applications. The rectangular cross-section distributes ejection force along the full rib length, preventing rib deformation. Available in a comprehensive range of cross-section sizes from 1.0×3.0mm to 6.0×25.0mm, in M2 and H13 steels. The as-ground tip (Ra 0.4-0.8) is suitable for most applications; upgrade to tip-processed blades when the part surface requires a specific tip profile.
Application Scenarios
Reinforcement Rib Ejection
Internal ribs 1.2-3.0mm wide in ABS or PC housings.
Why it fits: Blade width matches rib width, distributing force along the entire rib length. Prevents the rib deformation caused by round pin point-loading.
Recommended: M2, blade width = rib width - 0.2mm
Vent Slot Ejection
HVAC grille slots and ventilation openings.
Why it fits: Rectangular blade matches slot geometry precisely.
Recommended: Standard blade, width matched to slot
